Barry Marr – President

 Barry was born in Toronto in 1940 and married Pauline in 1965. They have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Barry worked in sales at Gay Lea Foods for 25 years and retired in 1997. The family has lived in Toronto, Barrie,
Mississauga, Bramalea and moved to Omemee area in 1982.
Barry is presently President of the Omemee Medical Centre, Chair of the Hydro C.H.E.S.T. Fund, a member of the Lions, volunteer with the Omemee Food Bank, member of the Omemee Age Friendly group, member of
the Omemee Seniors Club and Community Representative of the Kawartha Lakes Health Care Inititive. 
Barry also works one day a week as a ” ranger” and also runs the men’s Senior’s Golf league at Heron Landing Golf course in Peterborough.
Barry was selected to carry the Olympic Torch in Omemee in Dec. 2010.
Barry believes strongly in Omemee and is making his contribution into making it a great place to live.

 

Brendon White -Vice President

 

Catherine Corneil 

Catherine Corneil has lived in the Omemee area since 1975. She has served on the Omemee Legacy CHEST Fund Committee and worked tirelessly to achieve completion of this medical centre. Catherine brings a wide variety of business experience including private business and real estate. She has lengthy experience in volunteer work with the Emily Cemetery Board, Lindsay Central Exhibition, the local kindergarten class and was instrumental in organizating the successful annual craft sale held on Pioneer Day at the curling club. Catherine serves on the fundraising and recruitment committees of the OMC board.

 

BettyLou Pelling 

Betty Lou has been a director of the Omemee Medical Centre since its inception in December 2007, Betty Lou is currently president of the Omemee Business & Community Improvement Association (OBCIA). She is a lifelong resident of Omemee with strong ties to the community. Betty Lou was on the Arena board, council, community policing and disaster fund committees.

 

 

Linda Morrison – Treasurer

 

Linda joined the board of directors in the summer of 2010 and was appointed Treasurer at that time. She lives locally with her family and has roots in the community.
